Alonzo William Flagler

From Williamsburg County, SC, he enlisted on 8 April 1862 as Private, Company K, 6th South Carolina Infantry.

He was wounded in action at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.

He was back to duty on 3 March 1863. He was promoted to 4th Corporal in June 1864 and to 3rd Corporal on 22 February 1865. He was surrendered at Appomattox Court House, VA on 9 April 1865.

He was a farmer and raised livestock in Williamsburg County, SC. He died at age 85 of injuries received when "the horse he was riding became entangled in a wire fence and fell, catching one of Alonzo's legs."
